Hi, I’m Tracy. I sew, knit, spin, weave, garden, practice yoga and make jewellery from my home in Cornwall, where I live with my husband, cat and chickens.
I’ve been sewing and knitting for most of my life, but since I discovered spinning, felting and weaving, fibre and textiles have become an obsession and there is still so much more out there to learn. In this blog I write about the things I make and hopefully give useful tips to help others with their fibre projects.
The ‘Cotton’ part of ‘Bramble Patch, Cotton and Beads’ came about because I only use natural fibres and cotton is my most used fabric for sewing with. (I do admit to using plastic buttons occasionally because I don’t have the time or inclination to remove shell or wooden ones before washing a garment.) The ‘Beads’ part refers to my jewellery making with copper, silver and semi-precious stones, and ‘Bramble Patch’ is where I live.
